Charlie Hasselbrink is the VP of Equipment and Controls at Sila. Prior to Sila, he last held the position of VP of Quality and Reliability at SunPower Corporation. There, Charlie drove a Reliability R&D team that supported the development of SunPower’s X-, A-, and P-series panels. He also led the company’s global quality team, spanning more than 130 people, 8 factories, and 6 countries. Prior to SunPower, Charlie was a tenure-track professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Throughout his career, Charlie has published over 40 articles and 8 patents that have been cited more than 4,000 times.

Charlie received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and his MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Thermosciences) from Stanford University.
